Slashcry.com started as a video game blog that was updated by a group of friends.  It eventually morphed into just another blog -- covering random topics from video games, to politics, to working out.

Now we have changed the site to give it a focus and allow us to produce content that we and you are interested in.  That focus is of course one of the newest MMO's -- Champions Online.

The staff of Slashcry.com have been playing video games since the NES and MMOs since Ultima Online.  Below you can read about each staff members individual's gaming history, comic book favorites, and other tidbits.  Getting to know the Slashcry staff will let you better understand where we are coming from.  Stratto for instance was never really into comics and prefers High Fantasy, while Wolfgang prefers comics over High Fantasy any day of the week.

The goal of this site is to keep a pulse of the Champions Community.  We want to talk about the hot topics, inform fellow Champions players and provide some entertainment.

@Wolfgang:

• Favorite Workout: Crossfit - 4 rounds for time, 15 95# OHS with 400 meter run

• Champions Character: Name: Picky.
  • Powers: Unknown, but with Gadgets and Teleport.

• Favorite Comic Character(s): Cable, Cyclops and Batman.
• Favorite current Non-MMO Game: Saints Row 2

• Favorite Workout: Crossfit - Linda. It's a workout that really makes you consider quitting earlier, but feels like an accomplishment when you do not.

@Dozens:

• Champions Character: Name: Dozenz.
  • Powers: Electricity as main focus, force as secondary with teleportation as travel power.
  • My alt will be an experiment in taking ridiculous premises and making playable characters out of them.  First up is Bench (twin brother of Squat).
• MMO History: Inter-BBS (MUDs, etc.), UO (first year), WoW (first 2 years, than a break until WotLK), CoH (1 month), Warhammer Online (3 months)
• Favorite Comic Character(s): Batman, Spiderman, Magneto
• Favorite current Non-MMO Game: Civilization IV or Sims 3
• Most Anticipated Non-MMO Game: Star Control 4 (Star Craft 2 if you want something possible)
• Favorite Video Game from the Past: Perfect Dark
• Game Played the Most: Tie (Civilization Series and WoW)
• Favorite Workout: Weighted Pull Ups or Backsquat

@Strato:

• Champions Character: Undecided.  Leaning towards a Hulk/Punisher hybrid  (might/munitions powers)
• MMO History: WoW, CoH briefly, UO for about 2 minutes and Warhammer Online
• Favorite Comic Character(s): Incredible Hulk
• Favorite current Non-MMO Game: Rock Band 2
• Most Anticipated Non-MMO Game: I have no clue what games are coming out; I rely on Wolfgang for that.
• Favorite Video Game from the Past: Tecmo Super Bowl
• Game Played the Most: WoW
• Favorite Workout: Any leg workout that requires me to leave the gym in a wheelchair or a sprint workout that elicits a gushing nosebleed.
